The Bodie 601 Trio LIVE!

The Bodie 601 Trio is an American alt–folk band from Mammoth Lakes, California. Named after an 19th century old west slang term for a vigilance committee, the group considers itself “musical vigilantes” in that they have banded together to take the laws (of music) into their own hands in order to forge a sound that is theirs and theirs alone. 

Formed in 2013 when violinist Amy Callanan met percussionist Kristin Reese while both women were performing roles in local musical theater, the band has undergone several personnel evolutions before settling onto its current 3–piece arrangement. The band has developed a sound that emphasizes the lush and beautiful 2 and 3 part harmonies that are at the core of this group’s superpower. 

The goal of the band now is to bring the music to as many fans as possible while continuing to grow and develop a unique sound and explore the incredible talents that each member brings to the group.
