Lizardsmouth is a dance-punk trio out of Santa Barbara, California.
Philosophical lyrics about work, animals, and dead girls are coupled with brash instrumentation that takes notes both from art-rock of the 70’s and post-rock of today. The music is heavily influenced by the simplicity of the three-piece set up, inspired by the sonic approach of Minutemen, Meat Puppets, or Wire. You can dance, you can mosh, or and can sit back and listen. Lizardsmouth is for you. Their next project, a five-song EP, will be releasing soon, accompanied by a regional tour.
Lizardsmouth is a live experience. Onstage energy is both palpable and contagious. The band can be caught playing venues around Santa Barbara, as well as up and down the coast of California, having headlined notable venues such as SOhO SB, The Milk Bar SF, and Que Sera Long Beach, and Pauhaus LA.
